The Langkawi Island Animal Clinic – a charity project aimed at the sterilization of the stray cat & dog population – is a non-profit venture. Two resident vets are currently running the clinic, but we welcome applications from veterinary students or qualified vets willing to volunteer their services.
Dr Timothy Lim, aka Dr Tim. Originally from Penang, Dr Tim graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UPM. He has been running the clinic for five years now and constantly updates his knowledge to better care for the growing population of LASSie.
Dr Jennifer Low, aka Dr Jen. Dr Jen is a young but experienced vet from London, UK. She started travelling around Asia right after graduating from vet’s school and settled down in Thailand for a few months, where she helped at the Soi Dog Foundation. She is now with us for one year on a work visa.
When it comes to having a central nervous system, and the ability to feel pain, hunger, and thirst, a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy.

LASSie is putting together a brand of creative products, in collaboration with designers, artists and supporters.
