Welcome to the Langkawi Animal Shelter & Sanctuary Foundation.
The Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary Foundation is set-up to receive, rehabilitate and care for neglected, abused and needy animals. The organization also runs the Langkawi Island Animal Clinic - a charity project aimed at the sterilization of the stray cat & dog population. Both are non profit ventures, staffed partly by volunteers and aimed at improving the lives of unwanted animals.

Berjaya the Wonder Dog »
Berjaya means success in Bahasa Malaysia. Not a bad name for a dog who managed to survive after being hit by a car and hiding for days with a broken pelvis and a broken leg, too scared to come out. It’s even a pretty accurate one when you think that Berjaya is now eagerly waiting for her everyday walk, barking in excitement when she hears the staff’s footsteps outside her door.
